I am not a coffee drinker. Never have, never will be. Put any herbal tea in front of me and I will gladly sip it all and probably ask for seconds or thirds. Put a homemade coconut hot chocolate in front of me and I will do the same. However, I recently discovered Dandy Blend, which is a blend of roasted dandelion root, chicory root, barley, rye and beets and surprisingly tastes good. I didn't add an enormous amount of the blend to this particular drink, but I am sure the more you add the more it will reminisce coffee nicely. I would like to now introduce my dairy-free choco-latte.
The reason I enjoy this drink so much is that is packed with so many good things. Hemp seeds for protein; coconut oil and avocado for healthy fats; raw cacao for antioxidants and the dandelion root for antioxidants and to help with digestion. Add some coconut sugar and cinnamon and you have the perfect morning or afternoon drink.
Will you skip your caffeine-filled coffee for this healthier version?
