I recently discovered that I can have grain-free cookies—my almond flour raisin cookies—and even make my own almond flour, too!d
The only problem I had with baking a grain-free treat was easily finding organic almond flour. That's when I realized that I could probably just grind up almonds to make flour—boy, was I was right! It's super quick to make and even easier than making your own almond milk. Give it a try yourself!

- Voila- almond flour. It is that easy.
Tips and Notes
- I used non-blanched almonds to make my flour. I have read if you use blanched it will make an even more flour like texture. Let me know if you try it.
- I pulsed 1 cup of almonds at a time to make sure I didn’t end up with my awesome almond butter, which wouldn’t have been a bad thing, just not what I was going for.
- I am pretty confident a food processor would work well to create almond flour. I personally have not tried it, but from my food processor experiences, it just might be a little more grainer.
