The Green Juice

I try almost every day to have a nice pint of green juice. It tastes good, I feel great after drinking it and I just love the color!

What is you drink of choice? Green smoothie? Juice? Tea? Coffee? etc.

  1. Last night, I just made a batch of the best hot winter drink ever. I make a batch every week or two and keep it in the fridge. It’s great cold or hot. It’s awesome for your immune system. It’s also very warming.

The best thing. It’s easy to make. Ginger and lemon sliced and diced and boiled in water. If you want to help with detox, you can add some cayenne and a bit of maple syrup or honey.

Best tea ever. Though fresh mint tea is tops too. Both are nice, hot and cold. Very inexpensive and full of nourishment.

The other thing I have done for a while is save the water from any veggies I boil or steam and drink it cold the following day. When I do sweet potatoes or yams, the juice makes a very nice tea. Food for thought (sorry for the pun).

  2. Hopping for Crazed Fan. I always enjoy your blog posts.

My favorite drink – Well, I drink mostly water, a small amount of milk, but water in a lot of tea. All brewed at home. I like anything but black/breakfast teas. And I take it without sugar or milk. Sometimes honey, but mostly straight.

I also enjoy all the holiday shakes there are to taste out there right now. Not enough time in my calendar for all the holiday drinks at Starbucks and other places, either. LOL

  3. Ola Chicka!

Yes I have to take out my juicer and get some good nutrients in this body. I prefer the veggie juices to the fruits and I have to say once you start juicing, your body craves this. it is amazing how good it is for you! Bark kisses!!

  4. These look tasty! I used to make a juice out of kale, dandelion greens, celery and alfalfa sprouts to help “cleanse” my colon. I may be forgetting a few of the ingredients, but it tasted like grass. Not good.
