Wordless Wednesday, a simple post which features a photo to convey a message that speaks for itself without using words; well not a lot of words!
What’s wrong with this picture?

We already know what’s wrong with this one!

garbage, trash, wordless wednesday

I am the Good Girl Gone Green. Seeing garbage cans overflowing with recyclables breaks my heart.

I have heard that sea gulls will collect things mush like crows do. but I can not understand how lazy a person can be to get their trash that close to a can & still not get it inside? if you carry it out with you, at least you can carry it home with you.
I don’t know anything about seagulls, but eating plastic cant be good for you, right? And people are just lazy and don’t care!
That is really unfortunate! Poor birds!
I tried to get the plastic, but they were just too quick for me!
Poor birds. People are so inconsiderate. That is just disgusting.
Very disgusting!
UGH! That is awful.
Some people just don’t care, and that poor seagull thinks he has a great snack…
We were at the beach on Saturday and I’m so happy to say that we didn’t see a single piece of trash while there. Unfortunately, I know that is not always the case. I was a Girl Scout for thirteen years while growing up and one of the biggest lessons that has stuck with me is that you leave a place in nature nicer than you found it….aka you pack out your own trash and clean up if there’s a need.
So true, you bring your trash with you if there are no garbage cans! The one thing I noticed about the beach is the trash hides in the sand especially cigarette butts….gross~
I´m glad it´s pretty clean here in Germany where we live! We also separate our trash! Almost everyone does it over here.
Thank you so much for linking up and leaving a comment and becoming a follower!
Have a wonderful WW!

I bet it’s cleaner in Germany! Some North America’s haven’t really caught on to the “lets stop trashing our planet” concept yet…:)
Aww, poor birds! They are hungry and inconsiderate people have caused them to turn to that. *smh*
I am sure I don’t want to eat plastic, so I am assuming the birds do not want to either!
Love the bird shot! My daughter hates garbage and ever since she was talking she’s pointed it out. I have to carry wipes and an extra garbage bag in my car because she’ll want to pick it up at the playground. The worse are the cigarette butts. I can’t stand when I see people toss those out of their car window!
That’s funny, but so amazing that she does that!
Hello
Thanks for stopping by and following along
I hate littering. If the you can’t recycle it aleast find another garbage can to put your trash in.
Enjoy your day!!!
Exactly!
Oh no! They made such a mess!
Yes, a big mess! You would think people know how t put trash in a garbage can!
Poor birdies! I don’t understand people. Thanks for stopping by WW.
Me either
I love the mesage and purpose of your blog! (And the reminder quote in your header!)
Hugs,
Genny
*Blush* Thank you so much for the kind words!
So cool to see someone so passionate about being “green!”
Thank you for your follow earlier, and am here to follow you back
It’s sad that people don’t pay attention to how they dispose of their trash, and their effects on the environment as a whole. It’s good to know that there are others, who like you, are actively bringing awareness of how one’s action can affect the entire eco-system.
Thank you so much! I am trying to help people be more aware of their surrounding and the impact their actions do have on the eco-system!
We need a clean world is what I am teching my son!
Good for you!
thanks for following – im following you back!
has that seagull got his beak shut by a peg?
The seagull is holding some sort of plastic he found on the beach!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. What an awful sight, it’s bad for you and the environment. That being said, we are inviting rodents thus spreading a disease too…
That’s true! Rodents love garbage.
We are fortunate since the island we live on is small and people are good at taking care of it. It is awful to see animals trapped in our rubbish of consuming it by mistake.
That aside your photography is captivating.
Thank you! I hate seeing animals trapped in our “rubbish!”
poor birds.
Yes!
So very sad.
VERY!
bad litter…bad bad. BTW, thanks so much for stopping by today!
LOL, yes bad litter!
So close, yet so far? That is disgraceful. But on the other hand maybe the seagulls or some other animal picked through all that. We have them here, seagulls, raccoons, cats all ripping open bags and knocking pails over.
The trash can was over flowing…it was crazy. I couldn’t understand why people kept putting trash in the garbage can that was clearly overflowing and couldn’t handle anymore trash!
Great blog! I hate seeing trash on the ground. It drives me crazy.
Thank you! Drives me batty!
ARGH, people just don’t think! And once one person has gone and littered their trash (I mean, seriously, how hard is it to get your garbage INTO the garbage can rather than beside it???), others will follow suit. I like how you kept parts in colour and made parts b&w -it really makes the litter stand out. What’s your take? Would you go around picking up other people’s messes in hopes that others will follow your lead?
Thank you~ I already pick up people’s trash. When I go for walks I pick up random litter on the streets and last week at the beach! Check out my post from yesterday and monday!
I love the look of your blog and obviously the information is great!
Thank you so much!
UGH! That is the saddest thing every. I remember watching some NatGeo program about the trash swirling in the Pacific Ocean as big as the state of Texas and all the sea life and birds that die from ingesting it! This issue is not something we should take lightly or ignore!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate it! Hope your Hump Day is going well!
There are actually 5 Gryes and I will be writing a blog post about it all. It is kinda gross actually.I agree should not be taken lightly or ignored! Thanks for stopping by as well and happy hump day to you, Jennifer!
Boo! This makes me so sad!!
Me too!
I absolutely love the theme of a Green Wordless Wednesday. Thanks for stopping and saying hi to me. Always excited to meet other green ladies out there.
Thank you! Us “greenies” need to stick together….LOL
Stopping back….and a new follower. Trying, trying….to make changes in my life that are eco-friendly and sustainable. I’ve got a long way to go, but I’m getting there. Love your blog

Thank you! Baby steps. I know it can be overwhelming at times, but just do what you can!
My kids and I often go for walks with tongs to pick up garbage. It baffles me how people can’t pocket their trash and leave with it.
That is so wonderful to hear! Keep up the good work, Chelsey.
That is just sad.
I love the message that your blog is trying to get across. Green is definitely in!
Stopping and following back.

Hoo Goes Where
Thank you! Yes, it is sad!
Ugh! How very sad. I wish people would think and stop being so incredibly lazy.
People are so lazy!
People are such slobs and its sad…
Aloha! Mrs. Marine

Big sad face!
This is just sad. How do people not realize how their laziness is affecting the poor animals and the enviornment. I hate seeing things like this.
I guess all we can do is educate others about ocean trash and trash in general. We need to be more aware of how these actions are effecting the wonderful planet we live on!
This makes me SO sad

It makes me sad, but mad at the same time!
No words needed. I have a 70 lb Sulcata Tortoise that roams my yard. While cleaning up last week, I found a rubber band in his poop. That could have so easily caused major damage to his intestines. it made me sick.
So much damage, Shanda! I don’t know he even pooped it out…ouch!
Poor birds!! This is so sad!
Very sad!
Sad, sa, sad
Love your blog’s message. Thanks for stopping by my blog…happily following you back!

Thank you!
That is so sad!
Thanks for stopping by Thrifty Ninja, I was returning the love.
It’s sad because the seagull may or may not have eaten that plastic!
I love the first photo of birds but I don’t like the trash photo.

I hear you on that!
