I have heard that sea gulls will collect things mush like crows do. but I can not understand how lazy a person can be to get their trash that close to a can & still not get it inside? if you carry it out with you, at least you can carry it home with you.

  2. Reply Alicia says:

That is really unfortunate! Poor birds!

  3. Reply kewkew says:

Poor birds. People are so inconsiderate. That is just disgusting.

  4. Reply MSRheinlander says:

    UGH! That is awful.

  5. Reply Karen @ Time Crafted says:

We were at the beach on Saturday and I’m so happy to say that we didn’t see a single piece of trash while there. Unfortunately, I know that is not always the case. I was a Girl Scout for thirteen years while growing up and one of the biggest lessons that has stuck with me is that you leave a place in nature nicer than you found it….aka you pack out your own trash and clean up if there’s a need.

  6. Reply Verena says:

I´m glad it´s pretty clean here in Germany where we live! We also separate our trash! Almost everyone does it over here.
Thank you so much for linking up and leaving a comment and becoming a follower!
    Have a wonderful WW!

Aww, poor birds! They are hungry and inconsiderate people have caused them to turn to that. *smh*

Love the bird shot! My daughter hates garbage and ever since she was talking she’s pointed it out. I have to carry wipes and an extra garbage bag in my car because she’ll want to pick it up at the playground. The worse are the cigarette butts. I can’t stand when I see people toss those out of their car window!

Thanks for stopping by and following along
I hate littering. If the you can’t recycle it aleast find another garbage can to put your trash in.
    Enjoy your day!!!

So cool to see someone so passionate about being “green!”

Thank you for your follow earlier, and am here to follow you back :)

It’s sad that people don’t pay attention to how they dispose of their trash, and their effects on the environment as a whole. It’s good to know that there are others, who like you, are actively bringing awareness of how one’s action can affect the entire eco-system.

has that seagull got his beak shut by a peg?

  16. Reply Treat and Trick says:

Thanks for stopping by my blog. What an awful sight, it’s bad for you and the environment. That being said, we are inviting rodents thus spreading a disease too…

  17. Reply Stasha says:

We are fortunate since the island we live on is small and people are good at taking care of it. It is awful to see animals trapped in our rubbish of consuming it by mistake.
That aside your photography is captivating.

  18. Reply Ashley Sisk says:

bad litter…bad bad. BTW, thanks so much for stopping by today!

  19. Reply Carol @ There's Always Thyme to Cook says:

So close, yet so far? That is disgraceful. But on the other hand maybe the seagulls or some other animal picked through all that. We have them here, seagulls, raccoons, cats all ripping open bags and knocking pails over.

The trash can was over flowing…it was crazy. I couldn’t understand why people kept putting trash in the garbage can that was clearly overflowing and couldn’t handle anymore trash!

  20. Reply Courtney says:

Great blog! I hate seeing trash on the ground. It drives me crazy.

  21. Reply Amanda says:

ARGH, people just don’t think! And once one person has gone and littered their trash (I mean, seriously, how hard is it to get your garbage INTO the garbage can rather than beside it???), others will follow suit. I like how you kept parts in colour and made parts b&w -it really makes the litter stand out. What’s your take? Would you go around picking up other people’s messes in hopes that others will follow your lead?

  22. Reply The How To Mommy says:

I love the look of your blog and obviously the information is great!

  23. Reply Jennifer says:

UGH! That is the saddest thing every. I remember watching some NatGeo program about the trash swirling in the Pacific Ocean as big as the state of Texas and all the sea life and birds that die from ingesting it! This issue is not something we should take lightly or ignore!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate it! Hope your Hump Day is going well!

    • Reply Good Girl Gone Green says:

My kids and I often go for walks with tongs to pick up garbage. It baffles me how people can’t pocket their trash and leave with it.

This is just sad. How do people not realize how their laziness is affecting the poor animals and the enviornment. I hate seeing things like this.

No words needed. I have a 70 lb Sulcata Tortoise that roams my yard. While cleaning up last week, I found a rubber band in his poop. That could have so easily caused major damage to his intestines. it made me sick.
