Wordless Wednesday, a simple post which features a photo to convey a message that speaks for itself without using words; well not a lot of words!
Trinity Park in Fort Worth. This amount of plastic pollution is UNACCEPTABLE.

I am the Good Girl Gone Green. Seeing garbage cans overflowing with recyclables breaks my heart.

That is awful!
I know! So disgusting! I have noticed that Texas likes to leave plastic everywhere! You should see the sides of the highways…I cry every time I drive!
wow…does not need words.
Nope! Sad comes to mind!
Yeck! That is awful!!!
I am visiting from SASS, thanks for participating this weekend and we hope to see you again.
By the way, I sent you an email yesterday, looking forward to hearing back from you!

Terrible, eh?
Oh my goodness. We do not see this much around the Williamson County area, but Travis County is a whole other kettle of fish and the closer you get to downtown Austin…the worse it gets. I won’t even mention the state of the poorer areas.
When I visited Austin I didn’t really notice that much trash, but perhaps I want looking.
Hi,
When I wear my work hat I work for the City of Medford, MA. We were just talking about wanting pictures of where things that could be recycled are affecting waterways. Could we use your picture in a presentation we do to our students? We wouldn’t want to say bad things about Texas, but more “look at what happens when people don’t recycle”.
Thanks!
Sure!
This not only awful but horrific. I hope you get some attention on this from your local community. I am certainly sharing!
I hope someone notices.
This is awful
I know!
Ugh. No words needed. What a horrible sight. Wish everyone could see where their plastic garbage ends up.
Ugh, is right!
Seeing this makes me sad. I agree that this pollution is unacceptable. It’s an eye sore, an environmental hazard, and it does something to my spirit to see this kind of abuse of the landscape.
People are so careless! People don’t give a damn and it makes me so mad. The streets are not your trash bag! End.Rant.
Did Beth see this???
I tweeted her!
That is downright sad and disgusting at the same time.
So sad!
There is a local eyesore around the corner from me, too. Luckily the city is doing local “clean up days” I caught your website from Reduce Footprints. Keep up the good work.
There is probably one in every town- unfortunately.
That’s terrible!
Yes!
WOW…I can’t believe the city doesn’t clean that up. It’s really a shame!
I’m thinking I don’t live that far from you. I live in the North Fort Worth/Haslet area.
You would think they would clean it up! I am living downtown Fort Worth!
It’s such a small world!! : )
Very!
Ugh. Not a pretty picture, but perhaps one that more of us need to see.
Nope. I think people need to start taking responsibility for their trash!
How truly horrible. I will never understand how people can think it’s “okay” to just drop their trash where ever they feel like it. Makes me so angry.
Makes me equally as angry! Thanks for stopping by Cathy. It is much appreciated!
I do not get why people have such an issue picking up after themselves. Someone eventually will have to and look how disgusting it looks!
Thanks for participating in SASS

I don’t get it either. People are lazy!
Yes, we have areas like that in Oakland where the currents bring all the plastic trash from land and accumulate. The answer has got to be source reduction, not trying to clean it up after the fact!
YES! Reduction!
Environmental pollution is one of the main reasons I started my plastic boycott. I hate how we misuse plastic and the consequences. There are a load more dirty pictures of plastic rubbish up on our Facebook page planet trash plus a link to a Texas anti plastic group trying to do something about it. You can link up via our website as well. Thanks for raising the issue x
Thanks for sharing your passion!!! Love it!
Ugh, that makes me so angry! I do try to recycle, but I need to step it up. Thanks for reminding me of that. New here from the Weekend Blog Hop. I hope you’ll stop by.
It is so sad! I wish people cared more!
