Mini Hazelnut Butter Filled Chocolates

16 Comments Recipes, Sweet Treats Pin It

These small little chocolates are perfect to curb your sweet tooth craving. The hazelnut filling stays nice and creamy, while the chocolate is firm and crunchy. I am so happy they turned out the way they did. J.P was pleasantly surprised by my chocolate making skills, as was I! I have a few other flavors I am working on, that I will share in the next few weeks.

What flavors would you like me to test out? Any favorite combinations?

Mmm … I’m thinking Valentine’s Day for these goodies. I just watched a program about chocolate and learned that milk chocolate, because of the dairy and other stuff added, loses all the heart healthy benefits of the cocoa. Thanks for sharing this recipe! :-)

Don’t laugh, but I’ve never eaten hazelnut in anything. I drink hazelnut coffee creamer, but I didn’t even realize until recently that there are hazelnut food products.

    This is a must try!

These look so good! Can you taste the maple in the finished chocolates? I wonder if honey would give it a more neutral taste, or if it would make much of a difference?

I can imagine that my children might really like to help me make these soon… ;)

This is just my kind of recipe! My husband can’t eat peanuts, so I like the hazelnut idea.

Wow! I just bookmarked this! I have to try this out. I recently made chocolate from bean to bar with a friend of mine who owns an organic chocolate company on the island. I had no idea about the chocolate making process. Roasting the beans, winnowing the husks off the beans, grinding them, etc… Amazing. What a sense of accomplishment once you’ve created something from something completely different!
