If a kid gets it-why can’t we?
Good Kid Gone Green. And what a kid she is. This is the name I have given to my sweet niece, VT. She has found a passion for writing and the environment at the tender age of 8.
She told me global warming is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. She further went on to say- we are destroying our planet and need to take action fast.
I just love her enthusiasm for all things green! Just the other day she wrote her very first newsletter.
How much do you really know about global warming?
Simple ways you can help our planet with almost not leaving your home, in fact i find these thing are so simple that they can just be everyday things. I do most of these things everyday.
Listen up, listen up, I have breaking new, our planet is at risk of total destruction as we speak! We must do something about it and fast before we get destroyed along with it!
I’ll tell you how you can help. You must go outside and pick up as much trash as you can before its too late. After you do that, turn all the lights off in your house and count to 100, after that if you want you may turn them back on.
Then go to the store if needed and buy a pack or two of seeds and plant them somewhere. Then look in the cabinet or fridge or trash can and see if there is any plastic paper tin or cardboard that can be recycled that was not and recycle it right away.
As soon as you get this message inform your friends and family or anybody else in between so they can help. Tell them each step carefully to make sure they do it right.
Or you can just send this to them on e-mail just as I did to you. If we want to save our planet and our own lives we are going to need all the help we can get.
I’m VT and I approved this message.
So there you have it folks-easy ways to live greener through the eyes of a kid. And just maybe, we can all learn a little something from this wise 8 year old girl!

I am the Good Girl Gone Green. Seeing garbage cans overflowing with recyclables breaks my heart.

Love children’s passion. They inspire way beyond adults do.
Me too!
This is so amazing.. and I am very proud of VT our “Good Kid Gone Green.” I am sure Steph that you have contributed to VT’s green ways of thinking, as she listens very attentively when you are talking. Keep up the good work !!!

Thank you.
There is hope for our future!!
There is!!!
If all the kids are like her the future will be better…….
We must teach the children to love the nature and the natural environment from the younger ages. Then they will be more sensitive to understand the value of natural environment.
Agreed! I think she is just too cute!
Smart girl! Love her enthusiasm.
She is a sweetie, and of course learned from the best! LOL
I love this. Such passion and enthusiasm.
Thanks! She was so proud when I asked her if I could post it on my blog for everyone to read!
This is great. I love that kids are actually GETTING IT!
I love it too! I often wonder how an 8 year gets it, but most adults don’t!
An amazing message from a youngster. Someone has been training her right. And really, I love how someone at her age already cares and can articulate it so well. Hug her for me!
I will hug her for you….lol! She has joined the green club at school and I couldn’t be prouder of my beautiful “green” niece!
VT is a sweety!!!
She sure is! Thanks, Joe!
