Holiday tree roots and all

4 Comments Holidays Pin It

eco-friendly holiday treeWordless Wednesday, a simple post which features a photo to convey a message that speaks for itself without using words; well not a lot of words!

J.P surprised me with purchasing a holiday tree in a pot with all it’s roots. Once Spring arrives we will plant it, and hopefully next year, dig it up to use again! ]

Do you put up a tree during the holiday season? If so, Real? Fake plastic? In a pot? Cloth?

I LOVE that you do this- I’ve always dreamt of having a replantable tree…and it is possible! Yipee!

Hi. My tree is a fake…but… it was my grandmother’s. I’m guessing that it is at least 40 years old (I’m 47 and it’s the only one I remember!). It is so old that the center of the tree is wooden and has a wooden screw to attach the two lengths together. Every time I put it up it reminds me of her. And by keeping it, it stays out of the landfill ! It is still in good shape and I will continue to use it until one of us falls apart!!
