Cake Batter MilkShake #smoothie #realfood #vegan #paleoI was hopping from website to website yesterday drooling over all the yummy vegan recipes I could find; sometimes I can actually spend hours getting lost in all of the recipes on Pinterest. I found smoothies; milkshakes; juices; and finally a cake batter milkshake recipe from Chocolate Covered Katie. Please don’t tell my husband, most of the time I should be doing something a little more productive such as cleaning!

If you have never seen Chocolate Cover Katie’s site or tried her recipes you are most definitely missing out. She transforms traditionally unhealthy foods to something deliciously healthy. I recently made her Cookie Dough Oatmeal Cake, and boy oh boy, it did not disappoint.

Back to the cake batter- I was inspired by this simple milkshake recipe. Therefore, I decided to make a slightly different version. I have never actually tried cake batter ice cream or anything, so I cant say for 100% certainty if it my recipe tastes like cake batter, but I think it is rather tasty.

What other flavours do you think would taste good? Does it actually taste like a cake batter milkshake?

Cucumber Apple Juice

  • 1-2 cucumbers
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 lime

  1. Juice the cucumber and apple in a juicer (buy here)
  2. Freshly squeeze your lime with a manual juicer {(where to buy)|] and mix with the cucumber apple juice.

You can juice your lime if you like in the juicer.

Add more cucumber or apples depending on how sweet you would like your juice.

I bet some fresh ginger would spice this juice up nicely.
